about
We wrote a hopeful song about the circle of life using the metaphor offered by snowdrops. When they come up, spring arrives. Then they die, but that death foreshadows summer.
No matter how bad what happens to you is: that too will pass. Do not despair, summer is coming.
We dedicate the release of 'Snowdrops' to Mr. Dick, former manager of Café Lugosi's, in gratitude for all the support and years of hospitality.
April 14th, 'Snowdrops' will be released on 7'' vinyl single in an edition of 100 copies (10 already sold in presale) and on all streaming services. The B-side of the single, 'Sudden mourner,' will be released on those on June 13, but is already on the vinyl single.
lyrics
Snowdrops
(what’s this I hear
why does it sound so near?)
Something’s crashing
through the brush
it will come
for all of us
it will hit you
like a truck
it will not bemoan your beauty
it will not behold your puss and booty
(when you fit you have it easy
when like me you get queasy
memento mori – and live like flyin’ fuck, do!)
Snowdrops died on us
Summer’s coming
Don’t be disturbed, be disturbing
I can hear your upbeat humming
Your singing brought tears to my ears
(your lies bring tears to my eyes)
Stuck in evac we will work our way
to the light of the day when we kill our fears
But when you’re being dragged
into the stadium where he musters
Well baby, who’re you gonna call?
Ghost busters?
Snowdrops died on us
Summer’s coming
Don’t be disturbed, be disturbing
I can hear your frantic drumming
Parampam
Parampam
Parapapapam
Snowdrops died on us
Summer’s coming
Let’s embrace the suck
move the fuck forward and run
into the sun
into the fun
let’s let it last for hours
run with me 4x
I’ll find you flowers.
